This was a birthday party for my friend Yauger Williams at his house in Tacoma, WA. No date on the cd but I'm pretty sure it was the 4th of July as there were fireworks in the evening, and I remember driving there in The Burger King, an orange 1972 Dodge Tradesman 200, so that would put this in the late 90's. One of many of these live recordings that makes me wish I'd had my own sound engineer and Auto-Tune.
There were more Little Caesars pizzas than I had ever seen in one place before, except for maybe a Little Caesars retail outlet. There were also three gigantic black dogs, the largest being a pony sized Great Dane named Serious, all three extremely sweet and extremely spooked by the noise and fireworks. On the way back to I-5 Zack and I drove through some caustic chemical cloud near the industrial district that caused us both near total temporary blindness with horrible throat pain and coughing for a few minutes. Then we drove back to Olympia and ate more pizza.
