Another Auto-Tune candidate. This show at Brownies (shortly before they closed I think) fell in the middle of a super fun and utterly harrowing 7 week tour. Harrowing because my drum machine kept crapping out in the middle of songs, which I sometimes didn't notice right away as there was some space between beats, but since it was also triggering long linear samples that would keep right on going I'd notice when the whole thing turned into a jumbled mess. Like in Oso Malo/Ephraim on this recording! It was at its worst a few days before in Boston at the Middle East and Brooklyn at North Six, the two biggest shows on the leg I did with Sigh and Khanate, to the point that I don't think I made it all the way through a single song at either show and congealed into a mass of ugly human trainwreck. But the 505 started to chill out again (sort of) and the fun resumed. I'm pretty sure this show was the beginning of a couple weeks with Orthrelm, I know we played together with Zombi two days later in Pittsburgh. Party crew par excellence!
